Why You Should Use Your Parcel ID

While you can search by name, we highly recommend registering with your Map/Parcel ID number (also known as a GPIN or Tax Account Number).

Precision: Monitoring by name may trigger “false alarms” if someone else has the same name.

Direct Tracking: The Parcel ID is unique to your specific piece of land, ensuring you only get alerts for your property.

How to Find Your Information

If you do not know your Parcel ID or Tax Account number, you can retrieve it instantly from the City of Norfolk’s property search tool:
1. Visit Norfolk AIR.
2. Enter your street address.
3. Locate the Account Number or GPIN listed in the property summary.
